What better way to close out a campfire (or any evening, really) than with a s'more?

Better yet, these three recipes can be made right in the comfort of your kitchen. And we promise they're good. Whether you're craving a chocolate, peanut butter, or caramel, we've got just the treat.

Think classic, but oh-so-delicious. When it comes to s'mores, even simple doesn't disappoint.

What You'll Need:

  • 1 graham cracker per s'more
  • 1-2 of your favorite marshmallows per s'more
  • 1-2 pieces of your favorite milk or dark chocolate per s'more

To put a spin on this camp staple, try cinnamon graham crackers, shortbread cookies, or thick-cut pretzels for the sandwichand flavored marshmallows inside. As for your substituting chocolate with your go-to candy bar, our general rule of thumb is: why not?

To get cooking sans campfire, turn to your favorite kitchen device:

  • For the microwave: Place a graham cracker on a microwave-safe dish. Top with chocolate and marshmallow, and heat in 5 to 10 second intervals for a total of 10 to 20 seconds. While melting, the marshmallow will expand. When both chocolate and marshmallow are warm, place the top half of the graham cracker on your s'more and enjoy!
  • For the toaster oven or oven: Place the bottom half of the graham cracker on a tray lined with aluminum foil (for no-mess melting). Top with chocolate and marshmallow and heat in the oven or toaster oven until marshmallow is soft and browning (time will depend on temperature of oven).

This sizzling s'more just makes us want to sing (and shout, and let it all out...). Yep, it's just that goodcourtesy of the bacon, banana, and peanut butter happening below.

What You'll Need:

  • 1 graham cracker per s'more
  • 1 milk or dark chocolate peanut butter cup per s'more
  • 2-3 slices of peeled banana per s'more
  • 1-2 marshmallows per s'more
  • 1-2 slices of cooked bacon per s'more (optional)

For a gluten-free version, opt for gluten-free marshmallows and skip the graham cracker completely. Instead, sandwich your s'more with the banana slices (and maybe find a fork!).

Grab an apple. We know it sounds counterintuitive to making a groundbreaking-good s'more, but it works (right alongside the caramel, that is).

What You'll Need:

  • 2 apples slices per s'more
  • 1-2 marshmallows per s'more
  • 1-2 pieces of your favorite milk or dark chocolate per s'more
  • Warm caramel, for drizzling
